Chris Tovo and Ben Couzens, the creative team behind Airbourne’s debut album cover shot at Melbourne’s Pentridge prison have just released a ground breaking video clip for the band. The video for Diamond In The Rough is the first of its kind having been shot entirely with a hi-resolution stills camera. After having the initial idea, Tovo did a series of tests and days of research to find out what would be required to make the new technique work. Couzens and Tovo then precisely storyboarded the entire clip to the mili-second to ensure everything would sync correctly prior to shooting. The completed music video is made up of over 3000 still photos and features a whopping 32 Marshall quad boxes (and 16 Marshall heads!). The result is a video that looks like no other. Tovo and Couzens hope to continue doing projects with Airbourne and are looking to work with other artists. You'll need quicktime to view this, get it here |
