It’s quite simple. Ivan and Fran, our producers, are obsessed with lemon slice. Sad but true. The thing is though, THEY’RE EVERYWHERE. Actually they’ve yet to find a cafe that doesn’t offer lemon slice. How is one to determine where one is to find the best?
In the absence of a lemon slice regulatory board Ivan ad Fran have decided to start their own. Armed with their iPhones and four criteria they begin their review at Industrie Cafe, 14 Palmer Parade Richmond. They both agreed that the fact that they didn’t keep it in the fridge and it wasn’t served freezing cold was a bonus. Unfortunately the biscuit base, while pleasant in texture, had an unpleasant aftertaste. Balls. Not overly inspiring but endurable under duress. They both thought that there was a correct amount of icing in proportion to the base. Pleasing. Overall a 42.5 out of 80. Not spectacular. But a pass. It must be mentioned that Industrie’s Roti wraps are fabulous.
