Greetings from the CI office. We have taken a little time out of this lovely afternoon to bring you recent work you may have missed.
- Christopher Tovo for Collection Magazine: When great photography and lighting, meets water and fashion.
- Thom Rigney for Blundstone: For Blundstone’s catalogue and print campaign we cast real people and took a simple approach to the styling and lighting to create a real and natural feel.
- Chris Daile for Metlink: This cuddly campaign was nominated for the ‘Postcard of the Year’ award celebrating originality and promoting art in advertising.
- Christopher Tovo’s “snowman” test shot.
- Thom Rigney for iSELECT: Shot in conjunction with a 5 day TVC shoot in Sydney, we ended up with an impressive stockpile of pics that will be used throughout the year in numerous campaigns for print, outdoor and online.
- Claros Alcaide for Adidas.
- Clare Plueckhahn for Red Rock Deli. New from the (Red Rock) Deli, we were asked to capture the yumminess of the gourmet crackers and deli-style-dips and so we did.
- Julian Watt for Colonial First State: We shot and post-grade treated the 28 portraits of ‘real faces’ for their ‘Wealth Generation’ print campaign as well as HD video footage for the TVC end-frame.
- Chris Daile for Parbury: We were asked to think big, so we created massive purpose built sets for Parbury, while the landscapes and backgrounds were retouched by us.
We are constantly out on the road (and in the air) meeting people and showing off our white shiny folios. Sarah and Carlos were on the plane to Singapore last week, here are some shots of Sarah and Carlos at a client lunch. We don’t know how yummy lunch was, but the view to and from Marina Bay sands sure is tantalising.
If you would like to catch up, email us, call us or come visit us at the studio. We can’t promise an equally splendid view, but we do have amazing images to show.
The collaborative relationship between Chris Daile and Deryll Naidoo helped bring the Fred&Frank brand philosophy alive, via imagery in the form of stylish modern kids with tonnes of (good active) attitude. The kids in the shoot were amazing to work with and check out their catwalk moment here.
We heart the modern New York style.
Spring is here!! What better way to celebrate this glorious season with bold block colours, 70’s bohemian styling and lace pieces. Shot in the studio, Chris Daile kept the background simple and fresh to tie-in with Pilgrim’s 2011 Spring/Summer campaign.
Our friends in Pilgrim have snapped some behind the scene images; go to their Facebook page to check them out.
Chris has been busy shooting in the past few months, so check-in on us occasionally for the his latest work.
People say, “family violence is not just a family matter”, to the Hickman and CI family, it IS a family matter.
Our director Barry Hickman (aka Baz) is an active member of the Brighton Rotary Club and one of their projects is to raise public awareness about domestic violence through their foundation Violence Free Families (VFF).
Baz’s son and daughter, Kiara and Kynon, volunteered their time to model for the awareness posters. Last Christmas, after reading the following statistics and facts, CI decided to donate the equivalent amount to the cause instead of buying corporate Christmas gifts.
2.56 million (33 per cent of all women) have experienced physical violence since the age of 15 (Australian Bureau of Statistics, 2005).
Myth: It won’t happen again. Fact: Acts of family violence are often repeated and it tends to escalate over time.
Myth: The children won’t be affected. Fact: Children are aware of violence and it can cause significant trauma. They are affected even if they don’t see it.
Despite the heavy and dark nature of this topic, Kiara and Kynon had enjoyed working with Thom; who had kindly donated his time and talent towards the shoot.
The Hickman and CI family have made THIS our matter. So, make this matter yours as well.
